Procedure - How is the exam performed?
The participant first removes all metal jewelry and clothing from the upper body and sits for 10 minutes while their skin acclimates to the room temperature. In most clinics the patient is able to be completely positioned behind a screen. After ten minutes a series of images are taken from different positional angles. It is not necessary for the practioner to physically touch the patient. The entire procedure takes from 15 to 20 minutes.
